Task Description

Based on this Statement of Work (SOW), and also on additional Government Furnished Information (GFI) and Government Furnished Software (GFS) to be provided upon contract award, the Contractor must expand the VOiiLA front-end through the development of the graphical user interface (GUI) components required to enable the knowledge engineering activities necessary for the exploitation of the intelligence sensemaking services that runs on the ISTIP.

Whenever possible, these new GUI components must be largely inspired by similar components already existing in the latest versions of the MITS. However, the Contractor can propose new, innovative approaches to achieve the required functionalities that could be subsequently implemented upon approbation by the Scientific Authority (SA).

Resource Qualifications and Experience

Due to the nature of this contract, the Contractor’s assigned resource must possess the following qualifications:

• Recognized Undergraduate Degree (preferably software engineering, computer science, engineering or other computer science related);  
• Canadian citizen;  
• Secret security clearance; and  
• Complete Fluency in English and/or French.    

The ideal candidate for the position should have the following experience:

• 5 years or more experience as a software developer;  
• Clearly demonstrate experience in the design, implementation and testing of software GUI and software front-end;  
• Clearly demonstrate experience in integrating new software components into existing large size system;
• Clearly demonstrate experience with Java EE ;
• Clearly demonstrate experience with Javascript and AJAX;
• Clearly demonstrate experience with Google GWT and/or Adobe Flex;
• Clearly demonstrate experience with Service-Oriented Architecture;

Clearly demonstrate experience with agile software engineering processes such as Scrum.
