DUTIES

•Analyzing, processing, researching and preparing responses to sensitive ATIP requests.
•Providing recommendations regarding the exemption or exclusion of information to be released.
•Reviewing sensitive/complex files

 

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Open concept office with a high traffic flow and many disruptions such as escorting cleaning people, doing mail distribution and replacing the receptionist when required.

Office setting will be using computers and be standing and/or seated for long periods of time depending on workload.

The work is performed in a typical office environment subject to surrounding noise and using standard office material and equipment.

 

 

MANDATORY CRITERIA(resource must have the following)

Must meet the Minimum Mandatory Qualifications as per  THS, Annex “C” of Part A, Statement of Requirement-Classifications (Version 1) available on the THS website http://www.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/app-acq/sat-ths/classifications-eng.html

 

Minimum Mandatory Qualifications:

Education:

  • Secondary school diploma is required
  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in accounting, finance, commerce or other relevant field from a recognized post secondary institution is required

Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is required

 

In addition to the minimum qualifications required by the classification (education and experience), the potential candidates must also demonstrate the following mandatory requirements:

 

  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience is required in processing, researching and preparing responses to sensitive ATIP requests in an ATIP office (An ATIP office is defined as the sole office within a federal or provincial institution that officially receives and processes requests falling under Access to Information and Privacy legislation).
  • Minimum of five (5) years in redacting large complex Access to Information requests.  Redaction means severing the precise portions which are eligible under the Access to Information Act to be protected, after evaluating all the arguments for this protection and interpreting the information.
